With Voiceless Journeys, Ondru portrays the human face of the journey – the struggles, survivals and achievements of people from diverse backgrounds. Through evocative black and white portraits, stories are told of people who have left the place they call home to rebuild their lives in our communities.

In May 2009 Sri Lanka’s long and dreadful civil war was finally brought to an horrific end. Paheertharan Pararasasingam was just five years old when the war erupted. On his 31st birthday he was rescued from the Indian Ocean while sailing to Australia to seek asylum.
